After such a harsh winter, what could be more delightful than sporting a sparkling gem in this year’s PANTONE® Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid, which according to its creator, “radiates joy, love and health.”
Considered to be the world’s leading color authority, Pantone LLC and the PANTONE® name set the trans-industry standard for color. Annually, Pantone selects a specific color from among its palettes that best represents the feeling or “spirit” of the times and crowns it the PANTONE® Color of the Year.
Their 2014 choice is described by the company as blooming “with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination…in a captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones.”
There are a variety of gemstones in all price ranges that come in similar hues. These include lavender and violet amethyst, lavender spinel, violet pink sapphires, lavender quartz , ametrine and even eggplant Tahitian pearls among many others.
